On Oct 25,2012, it seems like the last nice day for riding the twisty roads for the season.  It takes us about 2 hours to get there.  An hour of which is highway, the rest is twisty roads.  Fun day indeed.  I have not been to this route in few years.  Last ride few years back on this ride, one of my friends bike was hanging upside down in a barbed wire.  So that image is ingrained in me and hard to shake off.  But anyhow, I thought you guys may enjoy it.  (My monster 620 is still out of service as I need to get the ECU ref lashed, so its the Triumph that I am riding.  Taped with GoPro hero2)

Quote I found about the route "State Route 255 is an eastâ€"west state route located in southeast Ohio. Nestled entirely inside the southeast quadrant of Monroe County, the western terminus of State Route 255 is at a T-intersection with State Route 800 approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Woodsfield.
"

and this is the same route a few years back when my buddy wrecked.  bike was hanging upside down for few hours until a farmer pulled it out for us with a tractor.

Second video seems like guy didn't know the road to well as he cut the previous corner a little close before he ate it  [laugh], oh well s*** happens glad he was alright. It does look like a fun road though wouldn't mind giving it a spin  [evil]. What camera was being used for the second video?

Stabbed that rear brake eh?

What caused you to stand it up? You had that turn easily.
Woohoohoohoo! Two personal records! For breath holding and number of sharks shot in the face.

Novelo - the camera that my buddy used during the wreck is the Snayo xacti.

The rider is really good rider and pretty good lead biker.  As he explained it, its that moment of lapse that bit him.  It happens to the most of us.  He was very lucky to have made as there were lots of rocks around that would have messed him up.   i was about 30 sec behind and watching him at the bottom of the cliff standing was surreal. :)

Now check this video of our other friend tearing the very same route 255.  I was on this ride few years back and watching him was ridiculous.  (ofcourse my slow arse was about way behind. I aint got that type of balls )

Well, what happened in your wreck?

It wasn't me.  It was a friend.  He pretty much explained that that split second lapse in judgement and doubt if I recall.  He really is a good rider and lead biker but that day was just not his day.  But that bike is strong.  After 3 hours hanging upside down like that and then pulled out by a tractor, it started right up.  Got to love the triumph speed triple.

Ask him, what made him stand it up then panic brake the rear?

Ah 255 ! Another typical state route located in SE Ohio. Another very close to the area is 26. Also traveling through the Woodsfield area, ride this route to Marietta, and 78 again from Woodsfield to McConnelsville. Riding through SE Ohio and the Applacia region is motorcycle nirvana, our little seceret.

[thumbsup]  yep all great routes.

We start at 555 and get down to this routes.  (except they patched up part of r555 and now certain section is so bad.  Last season I think they patched r536 as well and the patch was so bad that in very very hot day, your back tire was just spinning when you pass the patch strips which was everywhere )

From what I recall, he just lost concentration for that split second and panic braked and voila !  not much to it other than that.  Dude was really lucky.  The joy of scream you hear at the end of the tape is pretty funny "hu hu"
