Author Topic: Instrument Cluster Hick-Up  (Read 1092 times)

So this morning I get on my bike, turn the key, instrument cluster lights up and goes through the motions and it looks like I'm in gear.  So I make sure the bike is in neutral and nothing, no Neutral light.

I roll the bike down the drive way and  after a few minutes the Neutral light starts to flicker on and off.  It finally went on and stayed on but WTF??  The bike is garage covered and was not washed in like a week.  Do I need to check the connections behind the cluster? A fuse?  Any ideas as to why this is happening would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Any chance water could have gotten in the instrument cluster (rain, washing) ?
lets hope it is just a hiccup. otherwise get it warrantied before  that is up. I have changed a $800 dash because a non-replaceable idot light burned out.
