hello,

I'm looking for a new rear sprocket & chain for a 2011 Monster 696.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks. That's a really good looking deal!

I'm going to have to follow up and check the specs with the website.

that's the one for you . . . take advantage of this deal before it ends . ..

from what I can make out, you have no ABS so take the opportunity and go 14T front if you would like better drive ability around town . . . think you have same f/r ratio as my M620 15/48 . . .remember, one less front more torque less at the rear more top end speed . . .

I ordered the set you recommended a few days ago. It's supposed to arrive on Thursday and hopefully I'll be riding with the new set up by Friday night and I can't wait!

I kept the stock ratios. I already don't like how short my gears are (my exhaust is uncomfortably loud, and shortening the gears wouldn't help that..), but I didn't want to increase my cruising rpms on the freeway either.

Thanks for the tips and I'm sure I'll be here looking for more info shortly.

ride safe!

No problem, each one of us has its own preferences and if you wanted better highway cruising you could have gone one less at the rear . . . It's just that most of us want a "bit more oomph" while on the lower gears around town . . . got a friend who had 15/48 went 14/41 . . . he loves it . . . great for highway but, I can hear him behind me shifting down once or twice where I stayed on the same gear . .

Good luck and remember, "keep the shinny side up and the rubber side down"

btw, any pics of your girl?

yea, that makes sense. Especially wanting a little more "oomph" when my 696 only has about 80 hp and 50lbs. But increasing cruising highway rpms DEFINITELY isn't something I want.

I do have a few pics. I'll have to put them up in the next couple of days. Do I post them to my profile or something? I really haven't looked around this forum too much yet.
