fuel tank O ring

no ducati dealer in thailand has any in stock!!!!!?

so i gave to go to an autoparts store i believe they are 118mm x 3.75mm but what are they made of ?916 996 S4 size

had to get in and change blocked fuel filter and old O ring fell apart

The green o-rings that seal the fuel filler flange are nitrile.

got 115mm black Orings rated for a car fuel tank from auto shop price 50 baht( $1.40)  also one of the spark plugs had gone bad , went to Ducati dealer again they dont stock spark  plugs !!!!!!!!! found a compatible plug at Honda shop bike now running great again

there are a lot of ducatis in thailand now when i got mine 8 years ago there were only a handful in pattaya and maybe 200 in the whole country  now there are about 150 in pattaya and maybe 2000 in Thailand

I feel your pain.  I live in Hawaii where there is only one dealer.  It's not easy for them to inventory the parts for all of the models so it's usually pretty dissapointing to visit the parts dept..  I have found I can more "Ducati" parts from a good auto parts store.

Word of caution:  Before you do an interval service at the dealer buy all of the parts in advance and bring them in with the bike.  If not the dealer will likely charge you for a full service but not replace the parts they don't have in stock.  For me this was adjusting the valves but not replacing the belts when I specified in advance they be changed (old + mileage).

Don't get mad at the dealer, just plan ahead.

Thermite , non of my bikes has ever been near a dealer since i owned them I do all my own service and repair work , i usully keep a big stock of regular spares to hand .as well as diagnostics and tools .

Plugs ain't nothin.  What about an oil filter?

Jerryz, I'm close.  So far only the valve adjustments and tire changes are a standout.  I've purchased a Mathesis test kit for the bikes so just about anything is possible.

Mathesis is the only thing I dont have , but the S4 , M750 and 750ss dont really need that , a multimeter is good enough ,,,, had a technoresearch unit for the S4 but sold it as it was useless .....how much was a Matheseis ? and what about software for them as i have been working on some newer bikes like 1098 and Diavels for friends

Got the unit from eBay $900 NIB, but old.  Dunno about $$ for software.  It had what I needed for the '04 Matrix and that's as far as I've gotten so far.

How do you mange inventory of shims for the valve adjustments?  Where do you get them from?  Both of my bikes will be at service intervals soon and this is just one place I haven't gone yet.

I guess you guys in Thailand don't have a time of year where you put the bikes away for a long period.here in the great white north i have 5 winter months to rip things apart order parts online and put things back together. i've owned my first duc now for 2 years and 90% of the stuff i buy comes from one of the sponsors (never had a hiccup)
