Do little Italian elves live in your garage and leave extra screws in the pile of parts you took off your Duc last week? In my case, they will take one screw that I need, and leave me four that I don't.

Post up about your personal encounters with these sneaky little bastards!

I thought it was a trombone.  A rusty trombone.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Mine changed the threads on my SF's right hand mirror to left-handed, so I stripped out the scoket headed bolt while trying to loosen (er tighten) it.  Had to cut the mirror off, only to find the evil elf magic later  bang head

My elves are total assholes.  They play hide and seek with anything loose on the floor, like Ducati-specific fasteners.  Eventually I do find the screws, bolts, washers and/or cir-clips... and they're almost always OUTSIDE the garage.  In the driveway.  Of course I see them only when I'm pulling back into the garage with new replacement fasteners.  I mean, REALLY?
