Possible New Member Registration Problem

Just thought I'd mention the difficulty I had registering.

I got bounced back to the registration page with no joy after filling out the fields, and I was clueless to what I was doing wrong.

I changed my password to include numbers and letters, and was finally able to get my confirmation email.

Not sure if that was the issue, but if so a heads-up to new users would be useful. If not, there might be an intermittent registration page fault...   wt:

happened to me too, i just filled it out again with the exact same info and it worked the second time.  is that IZ_ letter code thing case sensitive?  the second time i capped them all.

I don't think so. I did lower-case when I got through....  Hmmm

That IZ_-letter thing is called captcha.  I don't *think* it's case-sensitive, but we'll look into it.

I know someone who has tried multiple times unsuccessfully from multiple browsers, no luck.  Daryl, I will PM her info to you, can you help please?  thanks.

It seems that if you try to register and the page refreshes with blank fields, what you need to do is just go ahead and re-enter and re-submit your information.   From a very small sample size it seems to go through on the second try.

So if you hear of someone having difficulty registering, please suggest this until a fix is found.

People continue to have problems registering. 

You might want to include a "how-to" register that guests can access on the home page.
