Sweet I have one of 1375!
And I have one of the 1374 others!
Since they came in three colours, that may mean I have one of fewer than 500 red 2007s worldwide. Talk about limited!
That is if the numbers are global. They do sound a bit low, I have to say.
Then again, this from
an article at rideapart.com:
"It’s our understanding — and this was unofficial and off the record — that Ducati North America’s best sales year ever, 2007, only saw 10,000 motorcycle sales."
So could the S4Rs have made up 14 per cent of US sales in 07? Or less likely still, more than 36 per cent of US Ducati sales in 06?
Does not sound very likely. So, these probably are not US-only figures.
On a global basis, that would give the S4Rs nearly 10 per cent of total Ducati production in the year of release, which sounds plausible to me, and about 5 per cent the following year (when they also started to build the S4RT).
