M750 Cams and M900 "W" Cams. The same?

According to Falloon, the cams in the small valve M900 "W" motor have the short duration of the M750 cams but the same higher lift of the carbed 900SS/M900"V" motors. In other words a slightly different cam again from the carbed 750 engines.

After a discussion with someone on the forum awhile back I thought that if this was true, then maybe these cams, while apparently a waste of time in the 900 motor, (see bikeboy.org "900 motors not all created equal"), might not be completely useless if applied to the 750.

The 750 motors may benefit from the increased lift of the 900 spec while keeping the shorter duration of the smaller donk and therefore not losing too much torque below 5500 rpm. It was the engine capacity/cam "size" relationship I had in mind.

If anyone has some 900W cams and 750 cams to check I would like to know. Maybe the W cam could be a good middle ground cam spec for the 750.

Be great if Brad Black, Speeddog or Duckstew could shed some light.

chris Kelley says they are different, but all the parts lists show them with the same 0370xxxxx part number that the 750 cams have.

Bugger. l was hoping the spec would be  higher lift like the 800/695 cams.

I've got a set of 750 cams on the bench, marked VR and OR, I can measure lobes to compare with whatever you've got.

Also got a set of cams marked OE ( or OF?) and MV.
EDIT< Pretty sure they're Pantah, lobes measure the same as the VR/OR, and cams are same, not mirror image>

Got another set of cams marked OHZ and VHZ (yes, I know what they're from, and not for sale   ).

My Gran Canyon has W heads, but it's (pretty much ) all assembled.

I'm curious as to the comparative measurements for max lift. If Falloon's right, then W cams have similar duration, but a little more lift than 800/695 cams, in effect  high lift 750 cams

Gotta find some W cams to measure.
