It appears that I will be going Solo to the GP in Indy. I have the ducati tickets for Fri, Sat, Sun. The other guy I was supposed to ride with backed out and canceled the hotel reservation. Now I can't get it back. Putting out a feeler to see if any one would want to split a room with a 30 year old married guy that gets to get away for a weekend.
Looking for a crowd to hang out with. This will be my first Moto GP.

Want to keep the room cost cheap to allow for more entertainment expenses.

I am going.  Last year was my first time and wouldn't think of missing it.  Last year we camped with few ppl.  It doesn't look like that will happen.  Not sure details but I plan to drive as its just not worth riding there for me.  I may have to sleep in the car considering the freakin price of hotels - I haven't even looked as I assume its ridiculous.

ab, it really depends. The "Ducati" hotel is $99 a night (Drury Inn North...there is a code). For a reace weekend in Indy, that's a steal as some of the slezy hotels close to the track charge $150 on up a night and don't include the happy hour and snacks that the Drury does.

Even hotels out a ways from the track are spendy during race weekends.

If I had a camper, it would be different but tent camping in August in Indiana is not my idea of a good time Hehe.

Zilbert - yes last year, it was kind of miserable camping in the sense the tent I stayed in had zipper issues and the night was so cold that I slept in the van. I may just drive race day.  It's only about 3 hours for me if all fails.
