SUDCO told me they no longer have parts or rebuild kits for the Mikuni BDST 38mm CV carb.

I am after horizontal type float bowls for these carbs. I also would like to source rebuild kits too plesse.

Cheers.

Bought these

http://www.power-barn.com/servlet/the-1554/Ducati-900SS-M900-Carburetor/Detail

Cost me $66 AUD although that was nearly 12 months ago and the OZ $ was a lot stronger then

Thanks Garry
Just bought some rebuild kits.

You can get rebuild kits from Powerbarn and parts from Allens performance.
AP have float bowls but I dont think they are the horizontal. I have to confirm.
Since SUDCO no longer keep this stuff, at least we have alternate sources of parts for the CV carbs.

Thanks guys. [thumbsup]

You can thank garryc and Ddan. ;D
I never heard of powerbarn until BradB mentioned some velocity stacks for FCRs with pods (worth a thread of its own).

Horizontal bowls appear no longer available, juxt the oem. I checked for the cross reference with Suzuki "slingshot" carbs but no luck.
Jets, gasket, o-ring and seal kits appear common enough but I dlnt know for how long. SUDCO dropping the line is ominous. I got four rebuild kits just in case. One kit does one carb, so order two.

Powerbarns service, communication and easy on-line ordering was excellent. Very impressed.
AP had good prices also.

CV carb bikes should be on the road for awhile yet.

In the interests of finding a cheap solution, I was thinking of  using one horizontal float bowl when splitting carbs for short manifolds. The application I had in mind didnt have the room under the frame and tank to angle them up on manifolds (E750 old).
Have you heard of anyone running the "angled" oem bowls with the carbs horizontal? Did they overcome float issues via float adjustments?

The thread became one about getting spares and kits for CV carbs. I've pmed you about the specific application I had in mind.

I thought it was a horiz carb fitted in an angled application.

My understanding is the bowls got changed for the angle of the Ducati manifolds, compared to the Suzuki application . If you're right I should have no problem using them which makes it alot easier.
