"The Crystal City Diamond Derby is a unique cycling event that combines speed, glamour, fashion and high-energy fun in a cool urban environment. We invite riders of all abilities to test their skills on our race course designed and built in the center of an underground parking garage. The Crystal City Diamond Derby features a variety of different race formats including a non-competitive open course ride, a head-to-head speed race, a courier-inspired scavenger hunt, team relays, and a special children's course. The general public is also invited to try out the course or just watch the action from the chic confines of the Diamond Lounge, an art gallery and bar built in the center of the action. The River Ride, a non-competitive social ride originating in DC, adds a social component and a ready audience for the day's activities!

This year's event will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m."

I love it.....
I was hoping to race this year but work & a doc orders to relax due to back injury.  So I will be there just to watch,

oddly squatted to look at the duc and POP whoa I almost fell.  So no more wallet in the back pocket and too much desk sitting weaking my core.  Got me a stand up desk at the office on the way.  Over all presently feelling much better but not bicycle ready yet.
