JB weld fuel tank fix ?

I found the notoriuos leak on my wifes 620 tank coming from the hinge. I know the long difficult process of fixing this but she is going away next weekend for a two day ride and was wondering if that JB weld stuff may do it from the outside.
Anyone had any experience in fixing the tank in this way. Just keep in mind this will be a short term fix

Hey Jamie, Never tried it, you havn't got much of an alternative , araldite is also worth a try,and might just get you out of trouble for a short term fix.
Don't use a tank liner for that it will leak again,as well, needs to be welded/soldered, there is alot of stress on that hinge

When you come to get it fixed permanent, Brian W  had his tank soldered /brazed up and didn't even need to get the tank resprayed,
By the Guys at Dmoto, they had a guy that could do it, give them a call
