Hi Everyone,

I'm having a strange issue with my electical system; i went to fire up the bike and it cranked about 1/4 turn and then just stopped.  now i get no 'click' no nothing.... i DO get headlights, turn sigs, brake light......but when i hit the starter button - i get NOTHING now.

took out my Ballistic battery and it's down to 11.85 volts (supposed to be 14v).

any ideas as to where i should start chasing this around my elec. system?  electrical problems are my least favorite thing to work on/fix.....it's really confusing to me for some reason.  i have a multi-meter and possess limited working knowledge of it, but i can do the basics.

ps- the bike started out as a 1999 750 Dark (bought it new in SF) and since then i have fitted a 1994 900 engine to it which has been working great for the last 6 years....this is my first issue.

thanks for any help!!

nothing werid about trying to crank a bike with an 11.85v lithium battery. it just wont happen. They dont like to be below 12.7v.

You can try to charge it, but chances are at 11.85v that battery is dead and even if you could revive it it wont last very long.

if you want ot ride it just picked up a lead acid and do a quick swap. also check to make sure your RR is outputing the correct voltage. the 1994 900 is a 2 phase motor so you should start by figuring out what hte correct output voltage is.

hmmm....thanks He Man.  i will check the output voltage.  will have to get a lead-acid from freind to check.
thanks for the suggestions!
