Is utterly epic. I'm about 50% through and I'm loving it, any fan of the series has to get it.

I just got it.  Looks awful on my TV, so I stopped playing until my HDTV gets here.

Act 4 has me giddy. Especially the dream sequence.

Seriously, tho, I think half of my "play time" is really "surf the DMF while they ramble on about AI networks time."

I actually like the story because it is so ridiculous that no sane person could come up with it. (Don't skip the credits, watch right to the end, there is a final cutscene that is completely out of left field). Plus I'm dazzled by the graphics so I don't mind watching the cutscenes for the visuals.

My only complaint is that it's too easy to just shoot your way out of everything. I liked MGS3 because getting spotted was a death sentence; this one you can just blast through without using stealth if you so choose, which kind of defeats the purpose of having all the neato stealth mechanics.

Rent it for a week and play it like mad. I went through it in 25 hours, including all the cutscenes.
