As title states..

I turn key on and fuel pump primes. I notice the gauges sweeping over a little later then usual. Immobilizer flashes twice then goes on solid. Cel is on. I checked the antenna under black key housing... Seems to look okay. Checked connection behind gauge cluster and it's connected. I'm kind of stumped now. Any suggestions would be awesome.

Indeed. What can I check besides the antenna ?

Do you have the red key or the other black key?

If so, try those.

Just the red key which I tried. Same result : / opened up the fuse box and found the 15a headlight fuse melted. Dunno if they correlates. Headlight works though.

Has the bike been out in the rain or vigorously hosed down lately?

No it hasn't. Bike is kept in garage for the most part. I rode it everyday last semester for 4 months with no issues except one other lock out. The bike decided to behave normal a few hours later though. The bike was having an electrical issue with the headlight however. Upon acceleration the headlight would dim. At wide open throttle the headlight would almost be off. Not sure if any of this correlates.

Sent bike to the shop. I'll chime in once I get the details.

i get a similar issue once in a while (04 620).  same behavior.  fuel primes, gauges sweep, light blinks then comes on solid.
I found if I turn it all the way off, remove key, walk away for a minute or two, then go back, it'll then work fine.

not 100%, but i haven't been stranded yet.  It does kind of concern me tho... getting stranded somewhere far from home or work.

love to hear the resolution.
