Wondering if anyone else would be interested in an engine/bench stand? I'm in need of one for my rebuild, figure we can all save on postage and hopefully a discount if there's interest.

I've contacted Corsair Industries (USA based and manufactured), and am waiting on a response which I'll post up, but thought I'd start this end too.

From their website:

Ducati Engine Stand

$125.00

Custom Finishes Available
Material   Steel
Finish   Powder Coated
Corsair Industries Ducati Engine Stand

This Stand allows you to do major engine work with your engine on the bench and out of the frame

This Stand uses the rear set mounts and the kick stand mount. Stand is made from 1.5" diameter steel tube which has been rotary draw bent, notched, mig welded, then powdercoated semi-flat black

Comes with all required hardware

Unit has been tested on all 2 valve monster engines and the 748, 916, 996, 998, 749, and 999 engines

The stand bolts to holes that are in the engine case. In 2 valve monsters these holes are used for rearsets and the kickstand. In superbikes these holes are used for the rear brake system and the kickstand

This is the safest way to hold the engine out of the frame. The common practice of blocking the engine off the ground loads the horizontal cylinder perpendicular to the designed loading condition.

Each stand shipped to Oz would be $200. An order of 5+ stands would reduce that to $180 each. These are after a generous discount from Corsair, as they are aware shipping won't be cheap.

If anyone is keen, please post up in the next day or two, as I'll be putting an order in soon
