dropped... dammit, how do I fix?

Dropped my M 695 today just... because... Feh! Now the temp gauge doesn't work - where do I look for a sensor out of place? Anyone got a diagram? Is this a DIY thing for a noob like me or do I need to take her in?

Then my gear shifter is bent - still works though. Bend it back? Recommend a new one (preferably black)?

Bend it back.

Temp connector is on the screen plug below the sightglass on the right side of the engine.
Confirm that the connector is still on.
Rubber boot being in place is not sufficient.
