Rear Brake light switch

Thru the years my brake pedal has suffered some indignities, namely, my Monster falling on it (05 620 btw).
There's a fair amount of play (wobble?) available, and the rear brake pedal light switch actuator doesn't line up
with he rear brake light switch very well. the little screw is a bit inboard of the switch at best.
So my brake light would occasionally hang, now I've got the rear switch disconnected which only concerns me when my state inspection comes up.

I unsuccessfully tried to add a flat washer to the top of the screw to widen it. (forgot to prep the screw top before epoxying).
I'll try that again if need be.

It seems even without the wobble the alignment isn't perfect.

Someone must have dealt with this?

Bend the lever back to the proper position.

I've done it many times.

Well I'll give that a go.

Pretty short arm between the pivot and the switch, but I recon I can wrestle that bugger back in line - thanks Speeddog.
Will let you know.

Nothing to it, able to bend it back out. Thanks Speeddog.
