S4 spark plug question and heavy rain issues.

Well,it's the second time that my s4 doesn't want to start the day after riding in the heavy rain.
Is that a common problem among 2001 s4's?

Also noticed that one of my spark plugs doesn't fit snug so I think that's the issue.
Looked on eBay and found a set of s4r plugs.
Can these be used on my s4 because I think these plugs are an expensive thing to buy.

No FHE with riding in heavy rain here, we rarely get any. 

Do you mean the coil doesn't fit well in the head?

Silicone spray the rubber seal  regularly

and alternative to expensive Ducati coils are honda cbr 600rr  i bought 4 off ebay for $50  plenty of spares

Try lightly whacking the starter solenoid w a screwdriver end or something. They don't like water.

New plug ordered,almost a whamming 200â,¬ 

Thinking of making a cap for the plug to protect it a bit from water in carbon fiber.

Yep the coil.

I was able to cross reference with the coils from a 999 I believe. They were used and much cheaper than new.

Probably not much help since you've already ordered but still something to keep in mind for the future.

Also, pack that oil pressure sensor plug with dielectric grease. Riding in any rain would throw my oil pressure light immediately.

Never had any problems with not starting though.
