I have to say that I cringe when I visit the dealer and see some of the promo stuff. The Scrambler vid makes me feel very old and uncool [laugh].

I'm planning to get me the Monster 821 ;D

Maybe I'dd add a termignoni exhoust as well, there's 2 choises:
1) Pair of homologated carbon silencers. These silencers are equipped with cat converters and approved for road circulation under current EU regulations.
2) Carbon fibre racing silencer kit. With dedicated mapping and removable dB killer, this slip-on silencer system unleashes the sound and power of the Monster.......

Ride it for a while before you spend your money on any of this stuff.  Unless you are coming off of an R1, GSX100 or something similar I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the performance.

Thanks for the advice!
You know how it goes, you start putting things together (dreaming) but in the end it'll be up to the dealder's discount.

Price of 821 stripe version is online now  [thumbsdown]; 850EUR more!! Wonder if the adjustable front suspention is worth it.

Hello,

Having more or less the same question but I am not really looking for more power (engine of the 821 is strong enough for me). I am more interested in a nicer sound.
Is there a big difference in sound between the standard exhaust and the Termignoni homologated one?

Thx,

Dino

Yes the performance one is louder even with the baffles in . ..  if you want to stay withing the law, the CF Homologated kit that has a catalytic converter and no power gains. ..  cost is around $1900.00
