Need some expert advice

If it was there before and there after, and nothing on the outside is messed up... then I would lean towards howie's diagnosis, or maybe stopintime's. 

It kind of sounds like normal Duc noises... which sound an awful lot like the regular noises in another wet clutch 90 degree v-twin I own.  Based on the rythm, it sounds kind of like clutch noise, but normal clutch noise.

There seems to be an awful lot of clattering in the twins that just isn't present in a 4 cylinder...

and in case I may have misrepresented myself, I'm no expert either, I just know a few.  Listen to Speeddog for expert advice.

maybe pull the plates outa the clutch, start it and see if its still there....
