Battery died so when I lifted the tank the fuel line popped right off. Fortunately with fuel the fuel injection  pump in the tank nothing spilled out. Last person to work on the bike was the dealer for 15K service. Honestly I don't remember if the lines had clips on them  ???  my bad - I should pay better attention

Anyway check the photo are there supposed to be spring clips here. Kind of looks like there were some there at one time from the indentations in the line

Those lines are for the vent to the inside of the tank and the drain for the filler area.

Should have spring clips.

thanks
I later realized they were vent hoses not fuel lines. No way they would stay on under the pressure required to run FI if they were fuel lines. Not as critical but will get some spring clips. anyone know the diameter, they look like 3/8"

+1 on the hose clamp. As long as you are tight around the barbed nipple you should be fine.

But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

thanks everyone
not a big fan of hose clamps for something this small, probably just get some spring clips. This is the bikes 3rd tank (fortunately no cost to me) so my guess is during one of the replacements the clips disappeared. I had this one lined so hopefully it will last
