DarkMonster620

Hey guys/gals,

Been doing some reading, now that I have some more time in my hands; moat of it from my phone since laptop was damaged at accident and PC is upstairs.

I have always wanted to replace the complete triple assembly, not going to ask "which brand is better", but:

1.What is the difference in handling between "regular offset" and "30mm offset"?
2. Advantages, Pros/Cons?
3. Now, brand

Thanks

ps: bike is a 2005 M620

Ask speeddog. He works on suspension iirc.
I dont know what trail figure that offset will give with that product on different models. More stability or agility depending on the oem trail of the models triples I would say.

Pretty sure 'regular' is 30mm  :P

(which appears to be wrong...)

the early models are 30mm i believe, which is the difference to the 851 frame which has 25?  the early ones could be nervous at speed, and we had one lady going to sue us for selling her an unsafe motorcycle.  the soft springs, excessive sag and 60 series tyre probably didn't help compared to the sbk models too.

i imagine they used 30 to increase the steering lock for low speed usability.  but increasing offset decreases trail.

maybe the st frame has more angle to the side tubes, giving more steering lock clearance.  so they can run 25mm on them.

brand is up to you.  how much and how pretty is what i'd base it on.
