Close to flush.  Even though your photos are good, for me it is hard to tell.  In one photo the l?s bearing seems to protrude too much.  In Another it looks fine.  brad black says they protrude too far.  I have to concede to an expert.  Weird thing is if bearings were not changed what went wrong?

Check the pads havent both moved to one side of the disc. Also push the pads back and the pistons behind them to make room for the disc, then put the caliper on the bracket over the disc. Pump the brake once the caliper is bolted on to centre the pads on the disc.
I have never worked on an M600, so I dont know how far the bearings should protrude, but they do seem to sit out more than Ive seen on other models. Brad knows this model well and so does DM620, so I defer to those guys who are Ducati techs.

Here is the rear of my 695 blown up

I know there is a slight difference in the space shape

But I hope it helps a you a little

It looks to me that you have the spacers in the sprocket holder the wrong way around maybe?

I have shown mine in the way they should go if they are the same on yours?

The cone shaped spacer should have the larger diameter against the swing arm.

Yours is backwards Will.

That's great Will thanks for the images!! They are exactly what i was looking for :)

And yes, as ducpainter correctly pointed out it seems that the cone spacer is fitted the wrong way round.

To the OP...

are you using OEM bearings or replacements from a bearing supply?

Is it possible the replacement bearings are wider than they should be?

 :o Oh thanks duc!

This will push my sprocket out a few mm then, I wonder how long it's been like that

I haven't got my engine to be able to line up the chain

thank you very much for the advice!

is the spacer between the bearings in the wheel the right one?  they're being blocked from seating in the wheel by something if they are in as far as they will go.
