Hi Guys,

Wanna make a conversion for my monster for this summer, bought 1198 showa forks 53/53mm, got a good deal, looks as new. Ordered spacers 5mm for the rotors, but what kind of triple set do I need, something from Speedymoto? Could I get the link? Please.  chug

Hey congrats Edgar, I am on the same road and based on my research, its either shim your bottom triple + machine out your top triple to 53mm or speedymoto 53mm triple set. I recall speedymoto did the triple specifically for sbk conversion. why not shoot them an email.

Hey Edgar,
I did the conversion on mine using the 848 Showa forks. What I did was order the Upper from speedymoto and shimmed the lower with the correct thickness shim material( .5mm thick to equal 1mm circ when installed in the 54 lower) Instead of the Spacers for the rotors, I found the 848 Evo rotors worked perfectly- no shims needed but that is an option if you have the extra cash for a set. I also had to use the axle off of the 848 as the forks required a larger size.
here's a link to the speedymoto upper: http://motowheels.com/i-11679748-speedymoto-top-triple-monster-w-risers.html
hope this works out for you!

The worst thing is that motowheels.com ignoring me for 2 weeks, can't get any response. Only yesterday got from one guy who's on holidays at the moment  Grin

Thanks man, I was thinking about this as well, but I want to get triple set (lower and top) looks much better with it. Rather then putting a shim for the lower one. But can't get the right one, which could fit my bike, as all of them saying that it fits older monsters, which is not true...

Get style and performance custom triple set. 53/53. Do you have 5 hole rotors or 6 hole rotors? If 5 holemuse 848 or like rotors, if 6 hole only 2002 748r rotors work. Look for build, I have the same setup on my 696..

I just checked Bellisimoto, They can get them from CNC racing(upper and lower kit). I've just got the top clamp on mine but I agree, I'd rather have both upper and lower with the bearing kit. I think I may just get the kit once I'm back in the states tomorrow night. If you want I can forward the quote I'll be getting from them.
