Fast idle RPM speed has dropped, something wrong?

I noticed the last two times i start my bike the fast idle RPM does not go as high as it used to and i have to leave it on for a little bit while riding out the parking lot.
Before i would turn on bike and instantly the RPM would go to 3-4k and then i would lower it after 2-3 seconds, put bike in neutral, back out of space and ride off no problem.
Now however i turn bike on with fast idle lever and RPMs barely get to 2k and engine sounds weak doesn't start up with the same roar as it before.
Just wondering if this is indicative of a problem or should just not worry about it and carry on like i have to, leave fast idle on for a bit while riding out first 100 meters or so?

Bike is a 04 620 with 7700  miles.
Valves adjusted and belts changed at 6600 miles.
I didn't do the full service at 6000, local shop did the valves/belt change for me but nothing else., dealership always wants too much now i live in Hawaii they'll probably want even more. :(

Thanks.
