Bike ...2006 s2r

So after its long winters nap I notice gas on ground ...checked leaking around the flange for the pump filter ...ordered a new O ring and fuel filter ( with clamps ? special clamps so dealer says ?)
Anything else I need to look at or replace while apart ?
And it says lube O ring ...what should I use use to lube said O ring ? ( Vaseline ?)

Parts should be here in 4-6 weeks ..seriously have to get them from Italy !!

Thanks guys for any advice

4-6 weeks for a filter? :o :o :o

I'm concerned that the flange on your tank might be deformed. That o-ring shouldn't develop a leak from sitting.

Plastic tank?  Ducati offers an x-ring gasket to compensate for minor warpage.  Vaseline is safe lube for fuel applications, but not sure it's needed for the plastic tank setup.

The special fuel filter clamps are Oetiker type.  Some folks use good quality fuel injector clamps instead.  I opted recently for the OE Oetiker type and bought the special $20 wrench.  You can get a bag of genuine Oetiker clamps online for a few bucks.  Dealer charges quite a bit for singles!

Other stuff?  Check the little orings and overall integrity of the quick connects.  Lube the little orings.

Fuel injection clamps will work fine.  Get the X ring type just in case.

the fuel flange o-rings I sell at the shop are x type and were sent from factory . . . cost is around $30 . . . and the filter is also around $45 . . . even us have those items in multiples of 10

Yes that long ..crazy thing is the Duc dealers around here do not "share" parts ..you are on your own with your dealer
