Exhaust ports different colourValve Damage?

Hi all. My bike is an 05 S4R. I've noticed after taking the exhaust header pipe off from the rear cylinder that the two ports are a different colour, one is powdery black as you would expect,and the other is clean? I've taken the front header off also to compare and both ports are black.I'm thinking it may be a shimming issue? I'm competent turning spanners so would fix myself unless any special tooling or equipment is required. Thanks in advance , Jon.

Im no expert in Ducatis, but checking the valve adjustment comes to mind, as does checking the exhaust gasket for leaks on that side. Would be interested to see the measurenents of that exhaust valve"s shims.
