I just got my 2009, 696 back from the dealer after the 7500 mile service.  When I first apply the choke lever and start the engine, the engine starts but nothing happens (RPM increase) for about 5 seconds, then the RPM increases like it should.  I've notice a gas smell in the exhaust also.  Maybe too rich of a fuel to air mixture.  I had no problems at all before the service.  I'm taking it back this week, but I would like to know what's going on.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Thanks!
