Any difference between a du 737 and a ducati monster 1100s ohlins rear? I don't care about the spring rate as that can be changed easily. I care more about the valving

Is one better than the other?

Thanks in advance

They are the same shock. I ordered one for my 696 and transferred it over to my 1100S when I bought it. Included was valving for my riding style and sprung for my weight. Had the same treatment done to the forks on the 1100S.

Out of curiosity how much did you weigh and what is the spring code listed on your shock?

Ohlins #01092-49/130-L358  Original spring weight? I was 220lb. when I ordered the springs but now I'm 200 and I haven't felt the need to adjust the shock.

I brought my custom du737 to my suspension guy so he could replace the seals and order matching springs for the forks. He called and received recommendation from http://www.kyleusa.com. Told them my weight, 220, 240 with gear and found out that the custom ordered shock that was also ordered from http://www.kyleusa.com, had a heavier spring then was recommended! The factory original shock had the correct spring weight installed, I did notice that it felt firm compared to the forks that were obviously too soft. My suspension guy asked if the spring was switched out before since the bike usually comes from the factory with lighter weight springs. I bought it used, but it was like new and bone stock with less than 100mi. on the clock.
