Tachometer Question

I'm selling a mint Tachometer in the Parts FS section. It has a little key icon on the face denoting immobilizer function (iirc).
Is this tacho usable with non immobilizer bikes or must it be only matched to certain immobilizer equipped models?

I suspect it would work on other ECU equipped models.

The only tacho I know for sure that has an immobilizer light is for an '01 S4.
There could very well be others, I've never done an extended search on that item.
Milway shows the '01 S4 tacho as being exclusive to that model.
I think I've seen others, but can't recall on what.

Hope these help. I decided to keep it at present as I think I have a chance of using it on a carbed bike running off the ignitor with some modification? If I'm wrong please tell me and I'll sell it to someone with an injected bike who can use it.

The FI bikes didn't have the waste spark. If you run that off an ignitor it will read rpm x2 I believe.
