koko,

Just like a fine wine, your stories of my riding/mono prowess grow as we age! Lol!

It was a cracker of a mono, but only half the length of a medium car park.

I did pop some ripper Troy Corser esque stand up monos on the VFR. That bike was awesome for monos.

I'd still have my Monster any day!

I do recall though, the plethora of tinkering/fixing/adjusting and repairing needed after I first got it. Years of butchering and neglect by previous owners and a few morons who'd been a bit ham fisted with servicing.

Thankfully I knew a top bloke whose patience was far greater than mine, and who was more than a little handy on the spanners! 👍🏻👍🏻🔧🔧🔩🔩🔨🔨⚙⚙

The first six months or so were tough, because my VFR was immaculate. The Monster was good, but needed a fair bit of work. At one stage, one thing after another was starting to dredge up painful memories of that Norton Commando S. It was the Norton which burnt me badly, and sent me scampering to the security and sanctity of Honda World. I was there for 20 years! Lol!
