Check Engine Light on and off, 2015 1200 Regular (Not R or S)

My 1200 Monster's Check Engine warning lights up frequently and power caps out at about 4500 rpm, read warning lights come on. happened almost from the beginning. Seems to show up if I don't let it warm up, crank the throttle hard right after start up or occasionally pops up randomly. The bike is due for its 600 mile check up in about a 150 miles. I spoke with a dealer who chalked it up to bad gas, advised me to take it out on the highway and opened it up worked for a while. Its a beautiful bike but I am frustrated with this mechanical ghost in the machine. Do you think the 600 mile check up will fix the issue? Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

The 600 mile service itself won't, they need to do some diagnostics. Do keep a log on the difficulties you are experiencing.

Do they have a programme associated with run in period?

First 600 miles recommended max RPM is 6K RPM, and shows up orange on the tach. Check engine light, if in enough will set a code in memory which should be a starting point for the dealer.

This is really a bummer, I have not eclipsed 600 miles yet and the check engine light comes on every time now. Guess I need to bring it in at 500 miles. Worried this is a sign of things to come, need to shake it off, get it to the dealer and assume the best.

Can you tell us how high are you revving the engine?
Are you NOT letting the engine at least "warm up" 1 minute? This allow the oil to run all over the engine
The owner's manual and dealership[sales person and Service Manager or Head Technician]
SHOULD
have been there at the time of delivery, THIS is DUCATI mandated as you can see in your warranty certificate that has a small questionaire and must be signed by: Y
OU, [HEAD]TECHNICIAN/SERVICE MANAGER AND SALES PERSON/MANAGER
. . . . If that wasn't done, then, who explained how the bike functions and
WHAT TO DO AND WHAT NOT TO DO
Important
During the first 600 mi (1000 km) (Break-in
period), i.e. as long as the Odometer displays a value
lower than or equal to 600 mi (1000 km), the
"orange
area"
(pre-warning area on the display with orange
used for bar graph filling and to indicate the
corresponding figure) is displayed when engine
reaches 6000 rpm. During this break-in period, it is
not advisable to exceed 6000 rpm, so make sure the
instrument panel does not display the
"orange area"
of the bar graph.
After the break-in period, the
"orange area"
indicates
and advises the rider to ride at lower revs when the
engine is cold; the
"orange area"
position changes
according to engine temperature as follows:
- from 7000 rpm with engine temperature lower
than or equal to 122 °F (50 °C)
- from 9500 rpm with engine temperature upper
than 122 °F (50 °C)
the lights turning on when the rev limiter thresholds
are reached are divided into two groups according to
the following thresholds:
1st threshold 9950 rpm (A)
2nd threshold 10150 rpm (B)
edit 2:
If your dealer was a bit more "interested" he would have told you to bring it in right now, that's what I did when Head Technician for a dealer
Plus, you're only stating that MIL comes on, not, WHAT symptoms it develops when it comes on

Curious to hear the outcome to this hiccup. It maybe the throttle position sensor, but let's see what the dealer comes up with.

Funny you mention it. Bike has been on the shop for two weeks waiting for a replacement throttle part. Said it it is coming from Italy. Kind if a drag buy at least it is covered.
