I took my clutch slave off to investigate after discovering a squeeky noise.

750SS cases, S2R800 side covers, YoYoDyne slave.

No threads in the upper left hole, but something between the bolt threads that makes me suspect a cover up by a previous owner or engine builder.

Is that hole surrounded by enough material to make it larger? Or other recommended methods?

(BTW, is there supposed to be an O-ring between engine and slave? It was dry, but not very dirty inside the slave

Helicoil or maybe a Timesert re-thread repair would be better. If you are not sure about doing it go to a workshop that can use those kits. It's a quick job but must be done correctly.

Timesert it is  [thumbsup] Thanks!

My oil fix wasn't good though - Fred says the O-rings aren't compatible with oil, so I need to replace them now.
