1997 m750 wiring questions

a few questions regarding my 1997 M750. I pulled the harness off over 2 years ago, and took limited pics and only marked a few cables to their matching connections. smart, I know  [thumbsdown]

most of it is sorted, but a couple remain to connect.

first up! the generator wires are two yellow wires with round bullet type pins. these plug into wires one and two in the regulator. do they need to plug into a specific one each? or either is ok? without different colours, I cant see any way to identify them individually. a good friend believes as this is the old single phase generator, then it doesnt matter. I'm looking for confirmation of this?

no doubt more questions to follow...

Your friend is correct. It is a single phase and it doesn't matter.
