(It's never sunny in Ireland BTW)

Hi there all!
So, my name is Andrew, called Wurzel by my friends after Wurzel Gummidge, a TV character from the same part of England I come from and everyone here in Ireland thinks I speak with the same accent...
I am pushing 40 and have been riding Jap plastic rockets for the last 17 years, Fireblades, more Fireblades and the odd Fireblade.
And then someone stole my last Fireblade! The swines!

I started looking at, and this may surprise you, a new Fireblade, but as I have been getting closer to the big old 40 I have noticed that my tastes have been changing. (Please God, never let me like a Harley! LOL).

I have also for the past few years began to complain of numb hands and wrists and a bad back after only moderate distances, so I decided to get something a little more upright.

To be honest, I had not even considered a Monster. And then I just happened to see a 2004 S2R for sale with 7000 miles on it. It was spotless and I was quite taken by her looks.
I asked the guy for a ride and it was such a nice bike to ride that I was hooked.
Me and the little 800cc S2R have been together about 6 weeks and already clocked up 2000 miles in the wet/wind/sleet/mud and she is a joy!
It is so odd but relaxing to go for a ride and not feel like I have to be pushing all the time, but can just enjoy the ride for what it is, yet when she wants she can still knock along at a decent enough rate.

And so here I am, a Monster owner!
Already have big plans for the wee bike. Tail chop kit arrived last week and a few more bits and bobs are in the pipeline...

Anyway. Thats me, hope to get talking to you guys soon and I will add some pictures when I can figure out how to do so! Smiley
