Has anyone installed slip-ons NOT made for a Monster?  This is what I am thinking of doing; I found a great deal on some 2 brothers CF slip-ons made for a Ninja. They are the right size physically and mating should not be a problem, I will have to fab some type of hangar but should be fairly straight forward.  Is there any reason this should not be done??  Has anyone done this themselved? tell us about it. Pics would be great as usual.

I can't see a problem with doing that.Years ago in the old country we would make parts fit all the time.Mufflers are not such a big deal, except when it comes to the name and the status of having a $2500.00 set on your bike.I have a custom exhaust..............it cost me 18 cents for a hacksaw blade.I cut my exhaust off and have not suffered any loss of power, plugs look great, bike runs fine.If you can make a tbr pipe fit onto your bike and you like it, then go for it bro! +1... A friend of mine has a '98 750 and he paid a local muffler shop about $200 bucks to install custom pipes, w/ header wrap, and tucked two small cans right up under his seat.  Looks awesome and sounds pretty decent, and he seems to have no loss of power as he leaves my 620 with ease.  I will get some pics next time we go ride if you want.  I also hear that 2 Brothers exhaust are well made and they sound nice, at least on my friends Hornet.

I think your biggest challenge would be in getting whatever slip on you like to hang properly.  Anything can be accomplished in that regard, especially if aesthetics are only a tangential consideration.  Once you get it to fit make sure it works within your available trim adjustability and go go go!  Don't forget to take pics to show us what ya got.
