Hi All,

I have been reading a few threads on the forum about how to reset the TSP on some Ducatis. (New terminology to me..) I have just fitted a pair of Termi pipes to my 2003 Monster 620ie and had the ECU flashed by the the company I purchased the pipes from. Since fitting the bikes not running as smooth as it could so I have been advised to get the TPS reset. Only problem is the nearest Ducati dealer is 200KM away so Google has been my friend since.

I came across this link which seems seems to still have a downloadable version of the software available: http://jpdiag.akress.com/

My question is (sorry if I'm duplicating a post/question):

Will this software work on my bike (2003 620ie)?
Is there a preferred cable I should purchase to do the reset?
Is the process easy (I'm technically minded just nervous about messing with an ECU...)

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Rob

if you are nervous, visit http://technoresearch.com/index.php/products/for-single-user/alaris

You just need to know which ECU you have, either 59M or 5AM

Thanks DarkMonster620. Can I just ask how you would identify your ECU?

I've downloaded the software but not really sure what to do now? I know I'll need a cable of some sort to connect to the bike but what should I be looking for on the software? Do I need some sort of USB key (mentioned in the instructions). Anyone have any experience with this software?

Lift tank and look for the ECU, lift the tank and it should say on the side, by the bar code . .. top left corner

you need the tool in order to use the software . . . if you live 200kms away from a dealer, you need this tool . . .

Thanks for your help DarkMonster620.

Where do you purchase them? I don't see any link on the site to purchase? Perhaps I am missing something?

I have been reviewing the formum on http://jpdiag.akress.com/

It doesn't look to bad to reset the TPS from what I am reading after all.
