Ok, bike is being put back together. I cleaned carb and nothing else. I think its on the bike like it should be. The bike is not ready to be started.

With that, the throttle sticks open and dosnt autimatically snap back. The throttle feels slightly stiff as i open it up. Ive looked over the carb and i cant see anything that might cuase it to remain open. Can you all give me some trouble shooting or things to check.

Thx

What carbs does it have and is it a dual cable throttle?
Dual cables require careful adjustment to have the correct throttle pull and a snappy return. You will need to play with the adjusters to get it just right.

Did you disassemble the throttle at the grip?

Let us know how you go.  Takes a bit of fiddling and holding your tongue right to get the right balance of push pull adjustment. ;D

Did the throttle work correctly before disassembly?  Push pull, as koko said is a likely culprit.  You can determine it is a cable problem by disconnecting the cable.  Also, do eliminate things like the grip too close to a bar end.

The cables and plastic cable guides in the throttle body can get tangled if they get dislodged as you assemble them. Thats what the boys are also alluding to.

Hello all,

I got my m750 going and my throttle seems ok now. Have no idea what happened i believe it was a cable issue. I have a new issue, the bike starts fine but seconds after starting the bike it goes into a high rev. It reminds me of opening the choke all the way.

Should be noted I did not adjust a single screw on the carb just a good cleaning.

I guess ill be getting my hands on the carb again. No idea what im looking for lol
