I am looking to replace my aging gas cap with this Oberon on my 97 M900. The one shown says suitable for 750 and 900 i.e. Is there any reason this won't fit carded 900. The number of screws is different.
Thanks

Check the part with sponsors Motowheels and Monsterparts for model fitment.

The cap itself is the same. The only difference is the IE uses a base in the tank and the carby screws to the tank itself.

OK. So does that mean it will work but may need different length screws. This is  sale item and will replace starting to corrode original.

It should work with the same screws. The OEM cap has a screw that isn't accessible until you unlock the cap. The aftermarket caps typically don't use that 4th screw because they don't lock.

Like Koko says check with one of our sponsors that sells the item, if you doubt me.

No doubting you whatsoever. This aus supplier is no longer importing and is selling last stocks at great prices. Too good to pass.
Thanks
