fuel injector harness plug

Helping a buddy can't remember how to get the connectors off the fuel injectors ..you know the stupid wire clip thing ..was there a trick someone told me ??

Thanks for any help guys ( its been a while since I did mine )

Just push on the wire clip on the side of the connector where it's accessible.

Persuade the wire clip out like the one on the top.
It is a bit of a PITA, and you've got to be careful it doesn't go SPROING! and disappear forever or hit you in the eye.

Sometimes you can wiggle the plug while gently pulling and it'll work the wire clip out enough and the plug will come off.

Don't swap the wires when you reinstall, it'll still run but not as well.

Slight additive tip to the above:  When the clip is off as the upper in the above photo, take 2 seconds and re-install it onto the connector.  It will stay in place, not get lost, go for a walk, etc.  PLUS, when installing, the injector's designed for that clip to push OVER the existing ridges and snap into place.
