*** CANCELLED ***

Hey folks...long story short, I f-up my ankle while loading friends 1098 onto my truck (something we've done countless times)

http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=8290.0

Needless to say I won't be riding for a while.

 Sad

Hey everyone, any of you guys up for a Monster Sunday ride up the Crest?  76 gas station up to Newcombs?  Back down towards 9 mile and out the front on Sunday Aug 3RD at 10:30am???

Post up if you are interested, it would be cool to meet some of ya'll!

 waytogo

If you have never been to ACH this is the proposed ride.  From beginning to end it's less then 80 miles.

Going Up

Coming Down

Going Home

This thread got hi-jacked a bit but it's still on.  I can't do Saturday (sorry Icon) so SUNDAY AUG 3RD @ 10:30AM.

Meeting Place: 76 Gas Station (across from the now under construction Shell station)

If you are interested please post up!  This is a no pressure ride...just wanted to try and get to know some of ya'll.

thanks.

BTW - I just noticed the 8/3 track day so I hope I'm not competing with ya'll!  I'm open for a Saturday ride 8/2 if that will work for more peepz.  waytogo

I could be up for this but I could also be bringing a pillion. Then again I've never ridden ACH before so the pillion part is probably a bad idea.

I would be down if it were August 2nd and a little earlier.  I'll follow this thread as the days go by.   popcorn

I think ICON said they are doing that this weekend?  Maybe they are having multiple events?  Huh?  Either way the more the merrier.  I'm down for either day.  I prefer earlier but I want to give people enough time to get there as not everyone lives down the street from ACH.

The Hyper truck is this weekend - July 26th and 27th. I'm heading up early on Sat to try and snag a demo.

Hey, April, could you post up if they have anything on the shorter side for us vertically challenged people? I'd like to check it out but I'd be pretty annoyed if I ran all the way out there and there was nothing I could touch the ground on.

I've got a 32" inseam and it's about as high as I could want a street bike.  It's not as bad as a dirt bike, but it's pretty close.

I doubt it they will have anything low but I'll let you know.

I've got a 30 inch inseam and I'm fairly confident about this demo.  If you are familiar with the crest, my guess is that they will go from Nukes to where the road is closed. There aren't any lights or stop signs and its a huge spot to turn around. its about 13 miles up so it can be (legally)done in a half hour. If I'm right, you will only have to touch ground at the beginning and the end. I've had to do it for the Femmoto demos and its way easier than trying to go through real traffic.

I put it in the other thread so I don't keep thread jacking this one.
