Keys for 2009 Monster 1100

Okay so I only have one key for my bike...I'd like to get another one made but I bought my bike used a at a dealership and didn't come with the code card. So my question is could I buy some used keys that come with a code card and use those on my bike?

I've seen some being sold, but are already cut...however, they do come with the code card. I'm struggling to make a move as I'd like to have two keys for my bike and code card in the event I ever lose all the keys.

Or just get your computer flashed to eliminate the immobilizer and you can use an ordinary key.
