DS1000 Starter current draw

Anyone know what the current draw on a stock (not hi compression) DS1000 is/should be?  Or the gauge size of the feed wire to the starter motor?

Bike's at home and I want to pick up some wire to re-route the feed wire on the way home...

My Ducati's draw 50-100 amps starting, my 3-4 cylinder sportbikes the same range.

with  brand new Yuasa YT  batteries the minimum cranking voltage drops to maybe~11 volts


ducati's with  weak battery sometimes just do series of 'clunk, clunk clunk' sounds without cranking the motor -(because The cranking voltage  is dropping below the minimum necessary  to operate the ECU/starter relay, etc)  -so the relay drops out, voltage rises and activates the  starter momentarily, then drops out again.-repeating the 'clunk, clunk clunk' symptom-that I see  around the internet especially ducati's -It's a bad battery.

FWIW my bikes w LITHIUM  batts  read almost 1 volt higher than  conventional batts after stabilizing- ( they still drop to the typical 10-11 volts while starting-and they're ruined if they drop below 9 volts)  anyway, the usual voltages used for determining the battery's state/ charge seem to be about one volt higher with lithium batts ...
that's all I know. ( more like that's all I can remember...)
