This is an ECU flash - usually performed on a bike after major mods - exhaust, larger air filter box opening, engine work ++

Maybe your bike will run a little smoother, maybe not. Maybe it will run cooler, maybe not. Maybe your mileage will improve, maybe not. More power.... maybe, but probably not enough to justify the price.

Save the money + some more. Then get another bike if you still want  [Dolph]

huh, so its a hit or miss really? i like your honesty lol unfortunately im paying the bike off still so i can get a new one anytime soon, and parts for this bike are stupid pricey but i knew that going into this. i just thought id try and squeez out a little more power and top end out of it without spending an arm and a leg, for God sake a muffler for this bike is $700 at the cheapest...

The full Termignoni kit - filter, ECU and twin exhaust was a lot more than the 700 you have seen. It made less than a handful of HP, but more torque and smoother running. You shouldn't expect more from this ECU flash, probably less  ;)

If your next bike is years ahead - you have time to know it well and get the most out of it. IMO that's much better than jumping from bike to bike.

Whenever I get 0-60 envy, I tell myself "Yes, it's a second slower than a 1299, but it's still faster than 4 seconds". That works for me.

Some of our sponsors (look left) offer ECU flash service for your set up, for instance, open air box, from known sources for less money.

Well I'm down to talk about options, I plan on having this bike for a while so I kinda want to have some fun with it and I know reflashing the ECU is nothing MAJOR In power but know it can free up some power and tq and allow me to Rev alot higher and possibly smooth things out but again, I'm new to bikes so I'm ready to empty my cup and learn lol

An ecu flash will not allow the bike to rev any higher.  The 2 valve engine does not flow enough air to make any more power by reving higher.  An ecu flash will likely make a little bit of power as most bikes run lean to pass emissions.  I'm not sure on the 696 Siemens ecu but the marreli ecu on the older bikes has free programs to reflash.  I did that to my 848 and if I find a dp file will do that to my monster
