The plastic "breather valve" 593.1.003.1B on my 695 outlets to a hose of about 20mm i.d.  I'd like to reroute the hose and a smaller diameter one would make this easier.  Is there a breather valve (screw in) that uses a smaller diameter hose that I could use?  I'm not running the airbox or the "oil breather tank".  Also, how does the breather valve function?

Thanks

I've never seen a Ducati breather valve less than ~3/4".

You could use fittings to shrink the hose diameter.

I don't think there are any with a smaller diameter hose. I think they are steel, though, so they should be modifiable.

There is a reed valve that allows crankcase pressure to escape along with a wee bit of entrained oil (at stock-ish rpm).

Isn't there a little K&N type filer that can go on top of the breather itself?  If you're not using the airbox or breather tank that might be a simpler solution?

I'm fitting a KrankVent valve so I need to add  a length of 1/2" hose - no filter required because no air can get back in past the KV.  I'll use a plastic pipe hose barb reducer down to 1/2".
