1199 and smaller Pani V-twins are going cheap here. Who rides a Pani?  Tell me all about it.
I'm 55, a sporty 200 lbs and 5'8". I have a Gixxer 750 track bike. How much will I suffer riding a Pani? That could be a multi faceted question.

I had a 2000 GSX-R750 for a track bike...
In comparison, the Pani is a far more riding position/stance.
The rear cylinder and exhaust do a wonderful job of dehydrating your raisins if you know what I am saying.

Your height will help you. I am 5'11” and roughly 230lbs and the riding position borders on torture rack.

All of that said though, I am absolutely giddy  with this bike.

I can attest to the dried raisins aspect, it does get a wee bit warm. I am 5'5" and for me at least it tests my core strength on some longer rides. I share the same feeling about her that Zilbert does though, she's quite an exciting experience. The sound from those termi's makes me have really bad thoughts [evil]

A friend from BC has a 959 Corsa. He had it at the track this week in Michigan and had no issues with dried raisins. It would be a different story on the street. He's also about your height, and the bike is comfy, but very different from other Duc SBK's

FWIW...the motor needs to be wound up tight to make it's power.

Cheers Nate.
Looks like I'm leaning towards an M1100Evo [thumbsup]

To expand on Nate's comments, the power is strong from right off idle all the way up to 9k RPM...but once the tach goes above 9k RPM, things get REAL. Yesterday I was out trying to burn off the remaining solvent after wrapping the exhaust and in 4th gear I whacked the throttle open and when I hit 9k RPMs, the front end started to elevate. I giggled like an idiot and held on tight.

My buddy was shifting around 9, and I could pass him at will on the straight with my clapped out old 853. I say clapped out because the motor wasn't built very well, but it makes about 105 HP. The 959 should make ~130 at the wheel. Once he started shifting at 10...ish that was no longer possible, but he couldn't really pull away with the stock gearing.

Redline on 959 is 11.5krpm.
Red line is when the limiter kicks in...except when it doesn't. ;D

awesome Tony. Good choice for the street (or track)  and so much easier to live with.
I'd love a 999, 848, or 899 track bike but the Monsters are best for the street.
