Thought I'd post this up earlier rather than later...

Sunday 8/17... riding.

The SOP remains the same -
Need to be legal and have all you paperwork, wear as much gear as you think you'll need, not be a child, have a bike that is reliable ;)

- Speed limits will be obeyed EVERYWHERE unless we are on a back road or I think being above the speed limit is appropriate. Once on a back road, the gloves are off and it's every man/woman for themselves, I'll wait at the next turnoff. All the rules of the road will also be obeyed throughout the day BUT (and it's a big but), we have on occasion been known to instill some good old hooliganism on the trip back home mostly due to hunger, fatigue, crankiness, bumper to bumper traffic and so on. At these times it's rare for the group to stay together. However, on these rides I encourage you to ride at your own pace and comfort level, nobody is forcing anything on you and it is NOT a race, but when those Rockin' Fries are calling out to you, you have no choice but to heed their call.

Haven't planned a route yet but rest assured, if the weather remains dry, the route will be VERY technical (think evil roller coaster) as in - double apex decreasing radius turns that could be up or downhill, steep uphill and downhill hairpins - some have double apexes, cambered and off cambered 90° turns that may be up or downhill, severe elevation changes, tight 95mph+ sweepers, most turns throughout the day will be blind, most roads will have a threat of gravel, most of the roads will have no shoulder or run off area so if you run wide or make a mistake you're either going off a of a cliff or into the woods or both. However... the chances are you've never been on roads as amazing as these  [drink]. And no, I'm not trying to scare anyone off, I'm just sayin'. Oh, and if you come along for the ride, expect to be home late.

PS I just realized I might be out of this ride but will know for sure tomorrow.  I decided that since I'm at 9,800 on the clock and with all the riding I foresee us doing prior to Indy I would be pushing it on the Indy trip.  So rockwell is getting a call from me tomorrow and their availability and turn around estimate will dictate what I will be doing.  this will also ensure the bike is in top form for Indy, which I think takes priority.  They will also be putting all the timing marks I need so I can continue doing work myself without worrying.

If they can't take me till next week I'll be doing some bike prep and adding bits in the garage Thursday night for Sundays ride.  If any of you guys going need to get some things done let me know and come by.
