Looks like Ducati decided to put the Desert X into production and it will be introduced on Dec 9.
This will be the most serious Dirt worthy bike Ducati has produced.  It appears to have a 21" front wheel and will be using that 934 CC engine that is in the Supersport, Hypermotard, and Monster.  Weight should go way down.  I was wondering why Ducati phased out the 1200/1260 Enduro with the V4 Multistrada especially since to make it an enduro was going to cost the customer big time and you still have all the weight.  The 1200/1260 were/are decent enough adventure bikes but the new bike will be much better than the 1200/1260 in the dirt.   I think BMW, KTM, and Yamaha should start looking over their shoulder for the Desert X.  Let's see what Dec 9 brings
