Rearset Question

Do aftermarket rearsets lower the foot peds? I'm asking because I'm 6'1" and alittle cramped in the saddle.

I may be mistaken but I believe the only rearsets that would adjust down and forward were cycle cats.  Good luck getting them now.  I think the vast majority if they do have any adjustability still  bring your heals up and back.  Some tall members still find that more comfortable than the stock.

Why would you move the rearsets forward?  Im assuming you meant back?

I have some rizoma rearsets.  Im 6'1" as well.  Not a drastic change but adjustable.  I lowered mine and set them to the rear a bit.  Again, not a drastic change but a welcome one.

Hunt around... someone found some bits that allowed you to move the stock foot pegs.  Basically it was an eccentric bracket deal that you placed between the stock rearset and peg. 

I want to say it was WolfMoto or some name like that, that made them.  But I could just be pulling that out of my ass.

well, you wouldn't, but the cyclecat sets have that range of adjustment. for the peg, anyway.

I've found that the levers can only be tweaked so much and still be usable (moreso on the shifter side), but the pegs can go damn near anywhere

Yeah, I figured but Dents has not had a chance to comment yet.  The rizoma rear sets I have can be moved forward as well.  I was addressing that the rear sets most likely would be moved back so that the legs would be less cramped.  The OP and I both being 6'1" I was giving my FHE on the rearsets that I have.

Thanks for the info guy.I ordered a pair of Satos today and I believe they allow for some adjustment back so I'm hoping they will be alittle more comfortable than the stock.

I've always felt the most cramped in the knees and figured Bbrent may be suffering from the same.  Moving the pegs down could possibly be more comfortable for that reason.  But I agree the whole reason to get rearsets is to gain more clearance.
